July favorites

I've been neglecting this blog for such a long time so it's about time I man up and post something. What better way than a monthly favorites post, right?

My favorites will range from beauty products, hair products, books, videogames, etc.

So let's start.

Face/body

Rimmel London's instant tan sunshimmer (Mine's in Fair-Matte)

I'm not one for tanning, seeing as I rarely go to the beach; so I bought Rimmel's instant tan sunshimmer from their sunshimmer collection. I got the fair-matte kind because I'm not aiming at a tanner skintone but more of a sunkissed look? It is shimmery although it's a subtle shimmer. Easily build-able!
I bought the wash-off one because I don't want a progressive tan. I just want some bronzage.

Lips

MAC's chatter-box lipstick

 It's sort of like a warm pink tone with some shimmer

This swatch shows how subtle it is.

Eyes

Best Mascara EVER! I'm almost out, too! The wand is flexible and provides the best coating.

Hair

Mythic Oil by Loreal

I swear by this product! I use it after I wash my hair; when it's damp. And after I blow dry it, my ends look healthy and amazing. I've had it for two months now and it's halfway through. I used to use the Kerastase oil but I prefer this over it.

Book

Pale fire by Vladimir Nabokov

Vladimir's becoming my favorite author. After lolita I was awe struck, so now I want to read all his books.

Videogame:

If you follow me on twitter you'd know how much I LOVE this game! I've finished it on 'normal' now I'm hoping to finish it on the 'very hard' difficulty.

So that's it for this month's favorites. Till next time!

The making of a Chanel Haute Couture dress

The video

I’d love to have posted the video on here, but the embedding is disabled upon request.
Sorry x!

This beautiful piece might be old, but I’m always in awe when I see it! It’s a very ‘Arabic’ texture. The kind you’d see at weddings.

(Might I add, sorry for not blogging much! Thanawiya sucks.)

Mini post related to Kpop+fashion.

If you’ve ever seen the Miss Dior Chèrie advertisement (Directed by Sofia Coppola, I might add!), then you’d probably recall the end scene where Model Maryna Linchuk floats through the sky by balloons. Also, the infamous ‘Moi Je Joue’ song sung by Brigitte Bardot!~

Well, Girl Group ‘Orange Caramel’ had ‘reproduced’ the exact same scene in their first Music video ‘Magic Girl'! It was at the end as well!

I’ve seen this video about a year ago and instantly remembered the Miss Dior Chèrie advertisement.
They could’ve changed the scenery and lighting a bit. They didn’t have to replicate the entire mini ending.

I need a school bag.

As we’re closer to the end of summer, I realised that I still hadn’t gotten a school bag for my final year of school (wohow!) So my dad suggested I order one from amazon.

These are my final choices;

1.  Herschel Supply Heritage Backpack
2. Marc by Marc Jacobs Special Edition Nylon Rider Backpack in Black
3. Herschel Supply Co. - Acre Canvas Day Pack

I’ll choose one by tonight! inshallah.

Guess who I recently subsribed to?

Still a noob at remembering names, but my favorites are;
 Francisco Lachowski
and AJ (Ahmed Jalal) Abualrub

AJ is under-rated which blows because he has such potential. Francisco is like Regina George in my opinion, everyone loves him. He’s the Queen Bee~

Christian Louboutin Tartan Rollerboy spike slip ons.

Wow, okay this is just going to be my opinion on the FALL/WINTER 2011 Pre-collection on CL.

I’ve always been a fan of Christian Louboutin slip on’s since I’m not much of a high heel girl ( I walk like a baby giraffe in heels) So I dug deep into the matter to view all the up and coming slip ons from CL. I’ve stumbled upon the ’tartan’ ones and as much as I like tartan print, putting on spikes just seems out of place. However, I would wear them in a heartbeat, but the basic black rollerboy spike will always be my favorite.

They’re going to be released on September the 16th. (Two days before my birthday COUGH COUGH)

The summer-released Silver Roller boy was amazing;
These were released on the 17th of June. They’re stunning omg imagine walking outside in the Omani heat with these on!
